Lawrence Karam: The Man Behind the Stories

Lawrence Karam’s life has been a tapestry of reinvention, resilience, and relentless passion. A former entrepreneur in San Francisco, he returned to his first love—acting and filmmaking—to wield storytelling as a force for peace and liberation.

From his childhood stage debut at age 8 (where he left an audience in stitches) to his role as a conservative reporter in Collapse (2008), Lawrence has always understood the transformative power of performance. Later, as a floor director in Napa Valley’s television scene, he honed his craft behind the camera, preparing for his true calling: writing and directing films that challenge, inspire, and reveal hidden truths.

A self-described "positive resistor," Lawrence creates art that confronts injustice while advocating for unity. His upcoming film, 33 Day War - The Hidden Truth, is a testament to this mission—exposing the futility of war while offering a path to understanding and peace.

Lost in Detroit

A black middle class, rural Northern Michigan football family loses their father tragically, and are forced to move in with family from Detroit. An intimate look at black on black crime in the inner city is explored. The film will explore why additional resources to Detroit would lead to the betterment of the communities.

Sons of the Nation

Action / drama based in Lebanon. A brilliant Lebanese war hero returns to his homeland to find that he must form a people's army to fight the corruption that he discovers is running rampant during what is supposed to be peacetime. He is protecting his family and the families of many others to stand up for what is right, good and just

TIL the Last Won

USA and Germany 1939. Before the United States joins a war, a tough Brooklyn family decides to travel to Hitler's Germany on a rescue mission. The family is traveling there to rescue a family member who had been captured and held in Aushwitz.
